Welcome to conference 2011 – 'Impact & Inspire' to be held in Darling Harbour, Sydney on 16th & 17th March 2011

Hargraves2098_2

I invite you join Hargraves Institute members and invited guests on the journey of transformation.  Our aim is inspire each attendee to make a lasting impression – an impact on those around you, be it family, friends or your business.

As the world increasingly heads towards mass customisation, so too do the expectations of consumers and customers.  Given that “meeting the needs of our membership” is Hargraves’ motto, we announce the launch of YOURconference2011.

Why YOURconference2011?  Because conference2011 is about you, our members and friends, and this year we will be allowing YOU to customise conference2011 to suit YOUR specific needs.  You can nominate your streams, your issues, and the people or companies with whom you want to network with.

This isn’t Speed Dating but would you like to find a compatible business leader who has the same interests as you?  At this conference you will have the chance to rate what’s important to you, submit your biggest area of opportunity and discuss in a ‘Think Tank’ session amongst those with similar issues.  This will be a fantastic way to solve and learn from like-minded business leaders trying to solve the world !

Besides the fantastic networking opportunities, during the plenary session on 16th March, hear from some of Australia’s best business leaders such as
Chief Executive Officer, Deloitte Digital - "
Deloitte Leadership Academy – An exercise in Social Media"
Leadership & Culture Manager, Ericsson - “Organisational Cultures and Business Performance”
Chief Executive Officer, Smart Water - Smart Water Fund - Investing in research and innovation for a sustainable water future”
Studio Manager - Innovation, Aristocrat - "How “Play to Win” has transformed our organisation"
Founder & Chairman, ReEngineering Australia - “Motivating children or being motivated by them?”
President, InterFLOR - "A better way to a bigger profit"

With a special guest presentation by Dr James Moody, Executive Director - Development, CSIRO, co-author of ‘The Sixth Wave: how to succeed in a resource-limited world’ and is a regular panelist on the ABC TV television program ‘The New Inventors’.  Presentation titled “The Sixth Wave : How to succeed in a resource-limited world”

To end the day, joining our panel we have

Executive Chairman, The Creative Leadership Forum
Catalyst for Magic, AMP
and international guest, Dr Marko Torkkeli, Professor of Technology and Business Innovations at the Lappeenranta University of Technology in Kouvola, Finland

The Institute’s enduring focus has consistently been on innovation and leadership, but always responsive to member needs, we have now included Transformation – which is based on sustainability, corporate responsibility and ethics.
1.  Innovation – “Future perfect – designing and delivering”
2.
Leadership – “Transformation, empowerment and best practice”

The conference2011 event opens a full year of programs, workshops and forums.  The theme for conference2011 isIMPACT & INSPIRE - inspiring our Hargraves Institute members and invited guests to make an impact and be recognised for it.  Because positively influencing those around us is what we aim to do, each and every day – it’s exactly what the Hargraves Institute was established to achieve.  I enthusiastically encourage you to participate inconference2011.  Select a team, purchase a members’ pack and get involved in the pre-eminent event in the Hargraves Institute annual calendar.  We invite you to make new contacts, uncover ingredients for success, identify stumbling blocks to avoid and learn to look at the world around you in a new light.  We invite you be inspired and make an impact.
